Dissertations & Research Papers

We offer research advising for dissertations and research papers at the high school and postsecondary levels. In addition to copyediting papers in all academic fields, we provide specialized research advising in economics, social sciences, mathematics, and statistics. Advising areas include the following:

• Review of statistical methods
  • parametric tests (e.g., t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square tests)
  • linear regressions
  • generalized linear models (GLMs)
  • multilevel (hierarchical) modeling
  • principal component analysis (PCA)
  • structural equation modeling (SEM)
• Data programming (R, Stata, SPSS, etc.)
• General copyediting
• APA/MLA citation formatting checks

Please note that we can advise and edit your papers only to the extent allowable by your course instructor and academic policies.

AP Research

AP Research is the culminating course required for the AP Capstone Diploma. After completing a 5000-word academic paper, students also need to present their research at an oral defense.

Mr. Li has advised many AP Capstone students, all of whom received AP Research scores of 4 or 5. Advising may include brainstorming research ideas, ensuring the alignment of the literature review with the research topic, reviewing the soundness of research methods, and preparing for the oral defense.
